Mobile-App Response Improvement

Previously, the Mobile-App's AUTO button sometimes didn't reflect the actual automation status in real time, and you may have experienced discrepancies between the light state display and reality. We've implemented a solution that provides a faster response. Please let us know what you think using the feedback section in the app.

Shade Control

Shade control is here! With this release you will be able to control shades from the mobile app and via your Control Pads. You will have the ability to manually control shade groups and add them to activities. Read on for more details.

Your shade groupings in the app should match the shade groupings on your remote. If this is not the case please let us know.

Manual Control:

On your home screen you will now see a button titled “shades”, this is how you will access information about shades in your home and perform quick adjustments.

From the shade menu you may command shade groups and open or close all shades.

If you want to dial in the precise placement of the shade, tap the position number. We hope this increased level of control is useful for getting shade placement just right.

Activity Control:

For routine shade positions, build an activity, and better yet, assign that activity to a Control Pad!

Similar to lights throughout the home, shades may now be added during the activity creation flow. You may even edit your existing activities and add shade positions.

Importantly shades will only move when you explicitly tell them to. Turning off an activity will not reset your shades to open.

Login related improvements

With this release you should no longer experience unexpected logouts! We know it’s been troublesome, thank you for all the feedback on this topic.

We will be closely monitoring system behavior after release to make sure we squash this issue once and for all. Also, you may be logged out right after the mobile-app update, and if it happens please try logging back in.

Activity UI

With this release we have udpated how Activities are turned off. When you press an activity button - either in the mobile app or on control pad - it will activate the activity. This is the same as things are today.

When you press that button again, while the activity is active, the activity will now restart. Prior to this release the activity would be cancelled.

We have made this change to better allow you to manage shade positions with your activities, which you will hear more about in our next release!

Bugfixes:

• You may now create activities with the default icon.

• Improved error messaging when you create an invalid automation schedule.

• Fixed an issue where the brightness UI would not accept commands.

Sensor-based Activity Expiration

We’ve added a new way to control activities, sensor-based expiration.

When creating or editing an activity, select “vacancy” for your duration. Utilize this setting when you want an activity to turn off after you leave the room. The time you enter controls how long the room must be vacant before the activity turns off.

Control Pad LED Management

For those of you who don’t want glowing lights on the wall, we’ve introduced a way to adjust the brightness of the lights on your Control Pad, including having them turn off at night.

Visit the settings screen to change how bright the Control Pad lights are.

Note: This settings affect every Control Pad in your home.

Thermostat UI improvement:

We’ve moved some things around on the thermostat page to help make it easier to read.
